Mother’s Day Tea. Day 299/365

J and his classmates hosted a Mother’s Day tea.  The teachers asked all the kids what their mommies liked to eat and that is what determined our menu.  Here’s what we had:  pasta with butter, pizza, turkey sandwiches, watermelon, triscuits, wheat thins, cheese, diet pepsi, lemonade, cookies and cupcakes…. totally sounds like the favorite food of most Moms I know… totally.  And notice the absence of any tea?  It was really cute – the teacher had us all line up in the hallway the same way we do when we come to pick up the kids, but this time she called each kid out and told them to “come get their mommy” instead of calling each mommy to come get their child.  They were so proud of themselves.  It was really cute.
