Yeah, we’re bad parents. We are just NOW taking J to the dentist. It wasn’t an accident. It was a conscious decision. Just knowing his personality, I wanted to wait until I knew he could handle it and would let the dentist actually clean his teeth. And I am happy to report he was really really great! There were two times when he cried and wanted to get up off the chair but we were able to keep him in place and the dentist was able to do everything she needed to. Of course, the visit was promptly followed up with a lollipop (not sugar free) promised in advance for good behavior, so the two probably cancel each other out.
