We went to a dine-in theater with some friends of ours to see Planes Fire & Rescue. We went fully expecting to have wasted the $56 it cost for four tickets and boy were we pleasantly surprised when they both not only loved the movie, but watched the entire thing! Being able to all sit together on a “couch” instead of in movie theater seats and having dinner served definitely contributed to the success of the night. J sat for the entire movie totally transfixed by the “it’s a HUGE TV” screen and R, well, he was his usual active self but it was very manageable because he could move up and down all along the couch and move from sitting to standing to sitting to standing to his heart’s content. We did have a somewhat difficult time stopping him from constantly turning around and showing the people behind us “LyLy” and repeatedly pressing the red call button for the waitress. But overall, it was a huge success and really so much fun!! And even though I am totally biased when it comes to how cute I think my kids are, most of the people in the theater got a kick out of the few times R shouted out “oh noooooo!” in his concerned little two year old voice when something bad happened in the movie.
