Lazy mama. Day 7/365
It was a nice day. There really was no reason to go to an indoor playground except for the fact that Mama was feeling quite lazy and tired after not getting much sleep during our trip to Maryland. Kidnetic is much easier for this ol’ gal than the playground. This trip was the first time where they really didn’t “need” me to participate very much and where I really noticed how much energy the two of them now have. They were going berserk running, climbing, jumping, screaming, roaring and just throwing themselves into everything and anything that was padded (and some things that were not so padded!). As I sat back and watched all I could think is “wow, I really am a Mom to two BOYS.” (told you I was lazy today, more iPhone shots)
(sorry iPhone pics!)

Just happy. Day 6/365
This picture captures R exactly how I want to remember this stage of his life – just a happy little man with tons of energy and a LyLy at his side at all times.

Magic! Day 1/365
I think I may be the biggest and perhaps, the only, fan of my blog. And that’s just fine with me. But because I love it so much… so begins another year for the 365 Project!
And it is somewhat ironic that I start the year off with a picture very similar to one taken last July. A year ago he was sneaking puffs, this year, it’s donuts with the help of a kitchen stool. After I put R to bed, Dada came up to me and said, “you’ll never believe where I found J or what he was doing.” Then he showed me this:
Turns out J was sneaking donuts while I put R to bed. When asked whether he ate any donuts, J’s first response was “Bauer ate them.” When pressed just a little bit more, J said “I made the donuts disappear…. into my belly.” “So you didn’t eat them?” “No, Mom. I made them disappear.” I suppose technically, that is not a lie.

Solemn. Day 364/365
Oma and Opa babysat the kids so we took a trip into the city to visit the 9/11 Memorial and museum. Photography was prohibited in most of the museum and to be honest, I was so wrapped up in the exhibits that I didn’t really think to take many pictures. To say that the museum was heart wrenching and breathtaking is an understatement. It was so thoughtfully laid out and the raw emotion that plays on you the entire time you are there is intense. The pain, the fear, the hope and the sadness of every victim and survivor is palpable.
