Gold. Day 228/365
In an effort to work on pinpointing our photography style and voice, my photo group decided to do an anonymous photo challenge where we all had to take a picture using “gold” as our theme but couldn’t take any pictures of our children or anything that would give away the identity of the photographer that way we could put all the pics in an album and guess who took each shot based on what we know of their style. I had such a tough time coming up with something that I felt was “me” since I couldn’t use my kids! So here was the first attempt that I thought was cute and whimsical but wasn’t in love with. (and btw, whoever knew that Goldfish were so creepy looking close-up?!?!)

Crack yo’ head! Day 227/365
R has started climbing on top of everything and he knows he isn’t supposed to. He will actually start climbing onto the table and look back at me to make sure I am watching. If I say “no” he laughs at me and scurries up as fast as he can as if he is trying to get up there faster than I can catch him and pull him down. Once up there he stands up and throws his hands in the air and squeals with victorious giggles. He is quite the little instigator because J, our little rule follower, will climb up once he sees R do it. I am so tired of telling them “no!” so one day I said “you know what guys, one of you is going to fall and crack your head open and when you do, I am not taking you to the emergency room. You will have to live your life as the boy with the cracked open head.” So now, much to J’s delight, every time R gets up there, instead of following suit, J says “R, you know, you are going to crack your head open and I am not taking you to the emergency room.” If there is one thing J likes more than breaking the rules, it is being “good” when his brother is being “bad.”

Can’t catch me! Day 225/365
He likes to run up and down the hallway with food in his hand and make sure that Bauer follows him back and forth. It is due to this constant taunting of my poor puppy that I only feel partially bad for R when Bauer hits his limit and finally snatches the food out of his hand.
