One on top, one underneath.
He likes to go underneath the crib and bang on the bottom of the mattress to make E laugh. Sometimes she laughs. Sometimes she’s thinking WTF? Everytime, he laughs.

“PIV-OT!”
Anyone who is a Friends buff will remember the episode with Ross’s new couch. As I watch E pivot around all I can think of is Ross shouting “Piv-ot! Piv-ot! Piv-ot!” Or in the alternative, I sing “1 o’clock, 2 o’clock, 3 o’clock ROCK…”

Liberal crybaby.
All over the media you see Trump supporters referring to those who resist him and his ideology as “liberal crybabies.” If being a liberal crybaby means that I am upset that this country elected a man to be president who exhibits overt racism towards minorities and the LGBTQ community, uses fear-mongering and isolationist rhetoric to win votes, uses his position of power to assault women, mocks the disabled, brags about the size of his penis on national television, regularly lies to the American people about everything from crowd sizes to “draining the swamp,” judges women by their appearance instead of what is in their head, refuses to condemn the KKK, refuses to stand up for a woman’s right to choose, works everyday to undermine and delegitimatize the media so that he can fill people’s heads with his propaganda, called global warming a “hoax” and threatens to undermine the environmental agency responsible for protecting the health of our plant for generations to come, believes people of certain religions should be forced to register and that a gigantic isolationist wall will remedy what ails the middle class – well then – I will PROUDLY take that tile and wear it. And I’ll teach my children lessons of love and inclusion and tolerance so you know what, you can call them liberal crybabies too. #wearingapussyhatandproud

She’s rockin’…
One day soon she’ll put that arm out, draw her knee in and realize she can crawl. Life as we know it will be over.

Makes me smile every time.
Every time I walk into baby girl’s room – whether it is in the morning, after a nap or even in the middle of the night (yeah, we’re still doing that) – I see her little head pop up with the biggest smile. Warms my heart every time.
