First day. Day 63/365
This kid – I couldn’t be prouder. He adjusted to being back in school like it was something he has been doing all summer long. I was worried he wouldn’t want to go or that he wouldn’t understand why he had different teachers, different classmates and was in a different classroom. But he was excited for his first day and got out of the car with a huge smile on his face and a little wave of his hand with a “buh-bye mama!” It once again reminds me that while he and his brother will always be the center of my world, I won’t always be the center of theirs. They will grow and become independent little people with their own lives. I can only hope that it doesn’t happen too quickly.
More adventures in SLC. Day 61/365
Some quick snaps from our early morning coffee walk to meet the infamous Emma Wood and Sarah Wilkerson!! I didn’t take many photos – just wanted to enjoy the time I got to spend with them.
We were lucky enough that one of the girls in my group had a car so we took a quick trip to Wheeler Historic Farm before hiking up Ensign Peak for sunset.
These are the couple of sunset pictures from Ensign Peak. There were A LOT of people up there which made it tough to get any interesting photos without arms, elbows or butts in them.
And some of the ladies I had the pleasure of hanging out with at the conference!
