Normally, when I disappear into the basement to do laundry my time is cut short by the screaming of a baby. Usually it is R screaming because J either stole his toy, hit him or closed himself behind the door to the basement leaving R all alone in the kitchen. I guess to some degree, it is the job of the older brother to torture the younger. Today, however, there was ample time to complete the laundry and as I was walking up the stairs I overheard J saying to R, “This is a train. It’s going through the tunnel. See R?” I only had a few seconds to capture this moment so excuse the quality – my settings were all over the place and I did my best to fix it – but I am so happy I managed to catch a picture of J being so sweet and kind to R and teaching him about trains.
A first! Day 111/365
Both babies got to experience a new first today – HALLOWEEN! Thanks to a Halloween blizzard in 2011 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012, neither J nor R has ever experienced Halloween before. I’d say the WHQ Block party was a success!

Ho dee dum. Day 107/365
Nope. Wasn’t me who took my poopy diaper off while I was supposed to be napping and threw it on the floor and then squirmed around in my crib for the next hour without the benefit of having had my butt wiped. Nope. Must have been that other guy.
