I don’t have a true macro lens but my new baby gets me pretty darn close.

Pretty roses from the hubs — just because.  What a sweet man I married!

Before bed, J likes to go in the living room and hang out on the couch in there watching Cars and eating almonds.  Sometimes we “play” Angry Birds on my phone.  And I say “play” because he just likes to listen to the (really annoying) music and watch the birds flying around on the homescreen.

What?!?  Isn’t this the way everyone likes to be woken up from a nap??  Little brothers are the best!

Today was J’s first day of pre-school.  I couldn’t be more proud of him – he only cried for a few minutes after we dropped him off and came home with lots of stories and a big smile on his face whenever he mentions his teachers, Mrs R and Mrs K.  He was uber excited about his new backpack.  And even though they told us that he wouldn’t need a backpack, he took it to school anyhow because he was just so happy about it.  We went to the Creamery afterwards for lunch to celebrate the big day and splashed around in some fountains in town.

I like to think this was a hug in an attempt to say “I will miss you today little brother.”

R tried to book it out of the pediatrician’s office today.  One year stats: 24 lbs, 9 ozs; 32 inches tall; 47 cm head circumference.  Still topping the charts!!

And super excited about mastering his new form of mobility!

Figured I may as well take advantage of some flower shots before the cold weather comes and kills them all!

J was singing “spinning round and round, spinning round and round” as he was playing with the water on the steering wheel of the pirate ship.  R was totally amazed by the whole thing.  That may be the longest length of time that baby has remained still.
