I wanted to try the close-up of R in black and white but yesterday’s picture didn’t have enough tones – it just looked muddy. So we did a re-try today with some more dramatic lighting. I love this one!

OMFG. Day 61/365
Hubby blew my mind when I opened this one. I guess he really does pay attention when I ramble on and on about photography stuff! I am the luckiest girl ever!

My view. Day 60/365
This is my view most days. Sometimes it’s just the little one. Sometimes it’s just the big one. More often (especially right as I’m trying to cook dinner), it’s both.

Climb aboard!! Day 58/365
We went to a Touch the Truck event with the little men. They loved being able to climb in and out of all the different types of trucks! They are SUCH boys.

Party party party! Day 57/365
A bright, bold and fun theme for my wild, crazy and laughing little man! (please ignore my rather sloppy attempts to photoshop out R’s name)

New toys part 2. Day 56/365
These were the definite favorites out of the birthday toys. These two crawl all around the house wheeling their cars in front of them and laughing with delight. (Ok, and maybe occasionally fighting over the police car which is in very high demand – so much so that Mama had to order a second one. Thank God for Amazon Prime 2-day shipping!)

New toys. Day 55/365
R is too young to realize all the presents he opened the day before were HIS presents. His brother, however, was quick to step in and not only unwrap most of R’s gifts for him, but also demand that Mama and Dada unpack age every.single.one. that way J could play with them, of course. Oddly enough, this is one instance where he understood the concept of “sharing.”

Birthday boy. Day 54/365
Today was R’s first birthday!! I can’t believe he is 1 already. In honor of this special day, Dada, Oma, Opa, Uncles Lsquared all took the day off work so they could celebrate with R. We went to the Central Park Zoo and then out to lunch on the Upper East side. It was a gorgeous day for my little man and so much fun!
