10 fingers. Day 53/365

Dada damn near lost his pointer finger thanks to an immersion blender.  If he had lost it, who would R have his pointing contests with??

Geeeoorrggee? Day 52/365

We sometimes walk through the state park near our house which has a house where George Washington was headquartered for a time during the Revolutionary War.  Without fail, everytime we go, J climbs the steps of the house, knocks on the door and yells out “Geeoorrgge?  Are you in there?”  Guess who encourages this behavior??

Or you could just drink from the cup? Day 51/365

I mean, it would be easier.  And it probably wouldn’t involve any dog hair either.  Maybe next time.

More shoes. Day 47/365.

J said “I want to get Mama’s shoes out of the closet.”  So I said “well, go on then!”  I didn’t realize that by “Mama’s shoes” he meant ALL of Mama’s shoes.  He was so proud of himself afterwards.

And btw, this is what happens with every meal we eat together – he wants my portion and not his own.  It’s the same shit.  I don’t get it! 😉

Things Monkeys Love: bedtime routines. Day 44/365

J decided it was time for Mike to go to sleep.  He laid Mike down, covered him up and gave him his sippy cup.

Then he turned on the noise machine for Mike and walked out saying “good night Mike!”

Next, he walked back in shouting “good morning Mike!  How did you sleep?”

And finally, he told Mike it was time for his baba.  I guess our bedtime routine with J really has sunk in!
