Driving this rig can’t be that hard. Day 13/365

Driving this rig can't be that hard. Day 14/365

When we got home from the Creamery, J did not want to get out of the car. He wormed out of his carseat and threw himself over the edge of it into the middle seat in the back row. I wasn’t about to climb in and drag him out, so we played in the car for awhile until he worked his way into the front seat and I coaxed him out with a red fish (i.e., a swedish fish). I’m not above bribery.

On a side note, he went so nuts jamming to Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” when it came on the radio that he whacked his head onto the steering wheel.  I felt bad laughing, but I really couldn’t help it.

Hoard much? Day 13/365

Mike.
Bla-kit.
Red train.
Red car.
White car.
Green car.
Red car.
Sippy cup.

These are J’s “required” items for naps and bedtime. It used to just be Mike. Then it was Mike and his sippy cup. Yada yada yada. It will be interesting to see how many other items are in there by the time he is 3!

My favorite J man time. Day 11/365

My favorite J man time. Day 12/365

After R goes to bed, J and I have a little bit of time to hang out before his slightly later bedtime. We usually just sit on the couch and snuggle watching Princess Sophia, Fresh Beat Band or African Cats. These are the some of the moments I live for and will miss when he doesn’t want to snuggle with me anymore.

Um, hey, what are you guys doing out there? Day 10/365

Um, hey, what are you guys doing out there? Day 11/365

He’s too fat to comfortably fit through his doggie door. So he doesn’t use it anymore. (In his defense, the prior owners installed it for their little terrier. He’s a lab. Do the math.)

Hi Dada! Day 9/365

Hi Dada! Day 10/365

Bathtime is so much easier when Dada is there to keep a hand on the wild man.

Garbage Truck!! Day 7/365

Garbage Truck!! Day 8/365

I opened the window to take a picture of our office using the ledge as my “tripod.”  When J-man heard the garbage truck coming he jumped up onto the bench under the window and got so excited that he knocked the screen right out of the window.

So many choices? Day 6/365

So many choices? Day 7/365

One of the rare occasions where R gets his first pick of the trucks.

Blue. Day 5/365

Blue. Day 6/365.

Your Mom and Dad have boring brown eyes. It’s kind of crazy yours are so bright and beautifully blue. I hope they stay that way. But if they turn brown, you’ll be in good company.

At least he is showing interest! Day 4/365

At least he is showing interest! Day 4/365

I love lacrosse. I hope my boys love it to. I would so much rather spend my spring afternoons watching lacrosse than boring old baseball. So in an effort to start them early, I bought some lacrosse sticks. This is all that J does with them. Other than pretend they are vacuums.
